MOND is located in the heart of Lev Ha’ir, Tel Aviv’s vibrant finance, art, and cultural hub. The Lev Ha’Ir (literally The Heart of the City) neighborhood, located in downtown Tel Aviv, offers the ultimate lifestyle experience: inspiring cultural centers, enticing restaurants, fine cafés, an exciting nightlife, sophisticated art galleries, trendy shops, and all within walking distance. The intersection of Sheinkin and Melchett streets was always considered one of the most desirable and fashionable residential locations in Tel Aviv. Today, more than ever, this attractive location provides a great urban residential experience, an uncompromising quality of life that brims with culture, leisure, and breathtaking vistas!

Like polishing a precious diamond, preserving the historical character of a building requires skill and expertise. Consequently, Pitsou Kedem, one of Israel’s leading architects was commissioned with the important and delicate task of preserving, conserving, and protecting this building. Pitsou Kedem Architects was established in 2000 and for the past two decades the firm has greatly contributed to the overall beauty and ambiance of the city of Tel Aviv. The firm has revived and preserved some of the city’s most significant historic buildings, while also planning and designing some of Israel’s most beautiful homes.

Architect/Engineer David Tuvia, like other architects of the time, modified his style from the eclectic to the modern without having studied at the Bauhaus School or any other educational institution in Europe. Tuvia’s architectural style in the 1920s was characterized by eclecticism influenced by classic architecture. However, during the 1930s he began to plan buildings based on the principles of the International Style which emphasized curving forms and long horizontal lines. Tuvia is responsible for many of the edifices that are referred to today as ‘The White City’; a collection of over 4,000 buildings built in the unique International Style such as Poalim Alef (literally the Worker’s Neighborhood) which included David Ben Gurion’s home, many water towers, the famed Ophir Cinema on Gruzenberg St., the Balfour High School on Mazeh St., The Davar Building at Melchett St. corner Shenkin St., the coffee house on 2 Bialik St. and his own private home on 16 Mazeh St.
